Learn to Manoeuvre at The Explorer Group

The Explorer Group has teamed up with the Caravan Club to offer Touring Caravan and Motorhome Driving Courses. The purpose of the courses is to encourage safe driving and proper handling of touring caravans and motorhomes.

The course instruction is led by Mark Garfoot, a qualified driving instructor who has also been caravanning for the past 20 years. "The courses are designed for those who are interested in learning how to tow caravans to experienced drivers who would like to build their confidence in manoeuvring both caravans and motorhomes. The one and a half day courses include classroom work, practical demonstrations and exercises."

With over one million caravans and motorhomes on the road in the UK, the Explorer Group is interested in raising the standards within the industry from general knowledge and driving skills to road safety. Participants are offered lunch as part of the course and given a tour of the production facility where over 6,500 caravans and motorhomes are produced annually.

The courses will be held on the Explorer Group premises, Delves Lane, Consett. Courses include: Practical Caravanning, Caravan Manoeuvring and Motor Caravan Driving Courses and will run on selected dates from February until October.
